Round She Goes… Where she shops, no one knows

It was a gorgeous Melbourne day, so I took my mum and drove to Kingston Town Hall.  After spending at least 20 minutes searching for a park, we headed to the market with our cash and empty shopping bags, paid the $2 per person entry fee and climbed the stairs.

The market was bursting at the seams, with stalls lining the entrance to the hall, the first of those being the gorgeous Mecino vintage & contemporary jewellery stall.

At 11am, the hall was already packed with stallholders and shoppers.  After a while, mother dearest, who proudly claims she has never bought a second hand item in her life, started getting into the spirit of things and found herself a bargain – a $1 vintage necklace.  The verdict is still out on whether or not she’ll wear it.

There was plenty of vintage and new jewellery on display, and these were our favourites:

And that was our half a day at Round She Goes.  To be honest, I went to look for shoes, but ended up spending most of my time looking through the gorgeous jewellery on offer.  Mum was having a grand old time seeing items that were in fashion in her day.  All in all, a great day, but I really wish I had taken the train… Maybe next time 🙂
